We engage in shaping processes of transformation to arrive at feminist and socio-ecological presences and futures. We explore, shape and que(e)rulate notions of a good life for all. We look for the utopian moments in our present, for the shifts and interstices in which caring, just and sustainable ways of living are negotiated. Critical of growth and domination, we ask which structures stand in their way. As transformation designers, we develop ways and strategies to shape emancipatory change.
We develop mental and physical spaces in which theoretical debates become practical. To do this, we move at the intersections of design, research and activism: we research, archive, write, edit, question, research, develop and publish, support, moderate, (re)learn, speculate, form bonds, house and hold space.
We try to identify strategies together and create a space for exchange – in a framework that considers different perspectives in an intersectional way and emerges from a critical self-location.
The name Zukunfts*archiv comes from the question of which today we want to be archived in tomorrow. What kind of today should we be talking about tomorrow and what do we contribute to it?
For us, collective work includes the mixing of (re)productive activities, weekly meetings, exchange, discussion, finding topics out of everyday life, personal points of friction as starting points for processes, working on our own structures, self-organisation, reflecting and sharing through trial and error. We are all also active in other contexts, which plays into the collective work and nourishes each other.
We like to collaborate and are happy to make contacts. Feel free to write us if you want to join forces and start something together!
Collectivistas: Dina, Flora, Kristina, Miriam, Pauline, Veronika
