Flora Mammana works as a community organiser, lecturer and freelance designer in the northern Italian Alps and beyond. Her work usually involves many others and connects people, places and ideas to design and realise solidarity-based forms of living and livelihood. Flora is particularly interested in the cultivation of diverse feminist social spaces, as well as the critical examination of communal livelihood practices (commons). Flora is currently mapping the remaining common land in Trentino with the association La Foresta - Accademia di comunità and, together with various associations, is activating a biodiversity kiosk at Rovereto railway station as part of the EU project ‘Station for Transformation’.
